MTS-Ukraine send SMS billion
The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" published statistics using the service SMS of the operator's subscribers in the first half of 2011:
In the first half of 2011, subscribers of "MTS Ukraine" was sent over 2 billion SMS, 20% improved record in the same period last year. The number of users of this service has increased by 13% and the average number of text messages per user was 33 units / month.
The main catalysts for growth in popularity of the service, according to the operator, are to increase the subscriber base, which last year grew by more than one million people, as well as launching new tariff plans for users of SMS. In particular, the most popular custom packages 200 SMS, within which is sent monthly over a million posts. Members of the package get a discount for sending messages to Ukraine at the rate of 80%. In general, the amount of use of SMS-packet for the year increased by more than 70%.
