NAVTEQ Traffic RDS service starts on road traffic in real time throughout Russia

The company has signed an agreement with NAVTEQ Russian radio network "Autoradio" ("Broadcasting Corporation" Prof-Media "), the leader of the Moscow FM-broadcasting. The agreement - the spread of the traffic information in real time with the help of RDS (data transmission simultaneously with the buzzer), which allows to broadcast information from NAVTEQ on the radio in Russia. "Autoradio" service will provide information about the NAVTEQ Traffic RDS with on nine major Russian markets: in Kazan, Krasnodar, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Broadcast information about traffic will begin in the first place in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, and will then gradually expand to other cities.
