Operators of the "Big Three" will provide communications about 100 remote settlements of the Far East and Eastern Siberia

OJSC "Mobile TeleSystems" OJSC "MegaFon" and JSC "VimpelCom" (Trademark "Beeline"), in exit inter-ministerial meeting summed up the intermediate results of the project "Cupid" - Construction works are underway on all the planned facilities of communication, 50% of the towers and sites for base stations along the route of "Cupid" will be ready by late summer. By the end of the project "Cupid" mobile will be approximately 100 remote communities of the Amur region, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The completion of the project remain unchanged - by October 1, the use of mobile devices will be all over the highway connecting Chita and Khabarovsk, along with a population of about 150 thousand people. The project will build a 102 communications facility throughout the track, "Cupid" (2165 km) - 52 in the Amur region, 34 in the Trans-Baikal Territory and 16 in the JAR. They will be deployed over 300 base stations belonging to the operators. During the meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Communications Naum Marder cellular operators, as well as representatives of energy companies, road-building organizations, specialized agencies and regional bodies of executive power discussed current issues of implementation project. To date, 40% of the construction sites are provided with power supply, complete the procedure of registration of land.
