Orange UK Unveils New Homepage Design
Orange announced its homepage, Orange.co.uk, has been redesigned following a two month user trial to enhance the experience for existing Orange customers as well as provide a new intuitive easy-to-use experience for all.
The new homepage offers a cleaner, simpler design allowing customers to find what they need faster. Divided into clear sections – the new homepage features a new ‘welcome area’, which ensures existing Orange customers have quick and easy access to key tasks such as pay as you go top-up, account information and email, as well as the latest special offers on the Orange shop. A new drop down menu has also been included to improve access to all areas of the site.
The revised homepage also makes it now even easier for users to keep up-to-date with the latest information that matters to them, whether it is the sports scores, news or weather. A new scrollable ‘content explorer’ section has been added to help direct users exactly where they want to go in one quick step. The new format also provides advertisers with the ability to display up to seven different MPU adverts across the scrollable homepage.
Finally, a new ‘On the Go’ feature added to the news, weather, sport and entertainment sections allows users to send stories of interest directly from a PC or laptop to their mobile for free, so they can read the story that’s important to them whenever or wherever they choose at a later date.
Gerry McQuade, Chief Development Officer, Everything Everywhere said: “We’ve listened to our existing customers to ensure the new redesign provides them with easy access to the things that are important to them. So whether it’s checking their account or catching up on the top news of the day, users will find the new layout even more intuitive and easy to use than ever before.”
The new homepage is the first major project to be designed, developed and delivered for Everything Everywhere by the new France Telecom-Orange subsidiary, Orange Digital.
