Aircel and Huawei have successfully tested the world's first GSM / UMTS / LTE-TDD

Indian operator Aircel, and Chinese company Huawei reported to co-host the world's first test GSM / UMTS / LTE-TDD. Testing was conducted on the existing network of Aircel GSM / UMTS in India with the use of devices based on multi-chip set MDM9600 Qualcomm Incorporated.

During the tests, Huawei and Qualcomm co-operation was carried out using the technology of Inter-RAT (radio relay switch) to switch to different scenarios in a standard GSM / UMTS / LTE at the existing network. The testing also showed other technologies and high speed data, relevant KPIs (KPI) system to LTE-TDD, including streaming videos on YouTube, video on demand and video at high resolution.

The combined solution GSM / UMTS / LTE-TDD network is built on the SingleRAN Huawei, solutions and SingleCore multimode devices. During the tests used by the modem E392 Huawei - the world's first multimode USB-enabled device LTE-TDD/FDD/UMTS/GSM/CDMA. The tests allow to test the interaction between services and applications, radio access and core network.
