Samsung launches high-speed 6Gbps SATA 3.0 Solid State Drive
The South Korean company Samsung Electronics announced the launch of mass production of the new model SSD (SSD), supports SATA 3.0 interface with data rates of 6 Gb / sec. Model PM830 SSDs will be available with 512 GB.
Expects manufacturers, such as hard drives that use this interface will replace the product line of 3 Gbps drives the company until the end of this year. New start time will reduce the device up to 10 seconds, and make it possible to copy DVD files five less than a minute.
Model PM830 SSDs use MLC NAND Gbitnye 32 memory modules made of 20-nm process technology and an interface toggle DDR. This provides a consistent speed device to read data at 500 megabytes per second (MB / sec) and 350 Mb / s for sequential writes.
