MTS introduced the first LTE network demonstration zone in Siberia and the Far East

Operator MTS has announced the organization of the demonstration zone cellular network, the fourth generation (LTE) in the framework of the VII of the Baikal Economic Forum (BEF) and the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the city of Irkutsk. Segments LTE networks are deployed at the site of the Baikal Economic Forum Baikal Business Center, as well as in a historic area "Irkutsk settlement." In the Baikal Business Center organized a demonstration zone LTE, which visitors can compare the speed of data transmission networks in the second, third and fourth generations of communication. The demonstration features the LTE network is presented in subsection BEFa - Conference Mobile Innovation VAS Road Show. The advantages of LTE networks can be seen when downloading heavy files, view online video in Full HD (high definition), viewing galleries and web pages. In addition to stand on a platform LTE BEFa organized network Wi-Fi, visitors can surf the Internet free of charge throughout the forum. The speed of data transmission in the LTE network reaches approximately 80 Mbit / s in the direction to the subscriber. Demonstration Zones in Irkutsk LTE will operate until September 14. For her organization has used the MTS technology solution Huawei, including multi-standard base station equipment supporting networks Enhanced Packet Core architecture and user terminals. The demonstration is conducted in the frequency range 2500 MHz - 2690 MHz.
