Orange wins Best Operator award at the Mobile Entertainment Awards 2011

Orange was crowned best operator at Wednesday night’s Mobile Entertainment Award in London. The award celebrates Orange’s intimate understanding of its customers’ needs and importance of delivering outstanding customer experiences on all fronts.

Vincent Brunet, Vice President, Mobile Broadband and Marketing, Orange, commented, "It is an great honour to accept this award on behalf of everyone at Orange. We are always striving to provide innovative and simple to use content and services, available on multiple devices that our customers really want. As mobile data services, especially entertainment-based ones, become more important to our customers, it is very pleasing to receive industry recognition for services designed to enrich our customers’ experience.”

Orange has launched a range of services dedicated to consumers during the past year, underlining Orange’s commitment to help its customers to understand and get the most from their mobile experience. In July 2010, Orange and Deezer partnered to provide customers with the first mobile and internet premium offer, a global streaming solution for unlimited music at home and on the move. In April 2011, Orange France launched Cinéday, which invites customers to enjoy a film with the person of their choice, carrying on from the successful Orange Wednesday initiative available in the UK.

Tim Green, executive editor of Mobile Entertainment, said: "The Best Operator award recognised a series of outstanding innovations by Orange this year, including a partnership with unlimited music streaming service Deezer and landmark NFC deployments in the UK and France."

The Mobile Entertainment Awards are dedicated entirely to the global mobile content industry. They were established by Mobile Entertainment in 2006 to celebrate innovation and success in the mobile content space.The awards recognise the achievement and innovation in all parts of the mobile content value chain in three separate award categories: publishing and development, services and operators and handsets.
