Samsung netbooks stops in 2012 and focuses on the 11.6, 12 "and ultrabooks

Samsung announced today by email to its partners that the company abandoned the netbook format in 2012. The father of the Samsung NC10, one of the best gear 10 'ever built and sold over 1 million exmplaire , will stop offering machines that diagonal to focus on ultrabooks and the classic ultraportable 11.6 and 12 ".

The new does not make me happy because Sony has announced no more interested in what format , is a second major player in this market deviates. By email rather short, the Korean brand announces its trading partners to its strategic positioning for 2012:

Following the introduction of our new strategy in 2012, we stop the product range in 10.1''(Netbook) in Q1 2012 for the benefit of Ultraportables products (11.6 and 12 inches) and ultrabooks to be launched in 2012.

If the announcement of Samsung Ultrabooks was not too many doubts to judge the latest productions "classic" brand in the field of ultraportables, I am disappointed that the manufacturer does not try his luck with models and Intel Cedar Trail AMD Fusion for 2012.

Samsung was able to offer in the past devices combining both a beautiful performance of autonomy while playing on designs and features well controlled. It is also a brand that put a spotlight on matte screens.

Hopefully, the 11.6 "Korean manufacturer are oriented low-cost and maintain a reasonable weight and a self-important. Who knows, after the crisis will know that hard drives in 2012 , with the arrival of Windows 8 , maybe Samsung will shift back to shorter slabs, taking advantage of this expertise as a manufacturer of slabs and owner a license ARM . If the manufacturer went out one day a 8.9 "compact under ARM Exynos, I'd probably be one of his first clients.
