Toshiba Canvio Slim: 500GB hard drive 9 mm

Toshiba has introduced a slim portable hard drive Canvio Slim. Its thickness is only 9 mm - on the dimensions this solution is comparable with the smartphone and can be used, such as ultrabooks. Model is enclosed in a black or silver aluminum body. Capacity of the new Toshiba hard drive is 500 GB and a rotational speed - 5400 r / min.

Toshiba Canvio Slim is connected to a computer to transfer data and power interface for USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with implemented USB 2.0), in this case, the drive is compatible with both PC, and with the Mac. Model dimensions - 107h75h9 mm, and weight - 150 grams. Release of the new hard drive is scheduled for October (at least in the U.S.) for $ 114.99.
