Oppo Find 5 Hands-on Photos, Specs and Price Leak Out: Bloody Hell, 6.9mm Thin!

Oppo Find 5 is supposed to be the world’s first smartphone with 5-inch 1080p display, however, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC’s new HTC J Butterfly has now grabbed that tittle. In order to challenge the new 5-inch HTC phablet, Oppo today unveiled hands-on photos of their Find 5, specs and expected price. Believe us, this could be the world’s thinnest, most powerful, 5-inch quad-core Android smartphone. More photos and info after the break.
Oppo’s upcoming 5-inch smartphone is just 6.9mm thick
According to sources familiar with Oppo’s plans, the Oppo Find 5 will finally be revealed to the world on November and go on sale before 2013. The new Find 5 would carry an amazingly-sharp 5-inch, 441ppi full-HD 1080p display which sits within a 3mm bezel on the phone. A Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip (1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064) and a hefty 2GB of RAM will sit under the hood. What’s more, it would come out of the box with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an 12-megapixel rear shooter, a 2,500 mAh battery, judging by the leaked image below.

The Find 5 will be sold in 16GB and 32GB capacities, priced at 2,998 Chinese yuan (about US$475) and 3,298 Chinese yuan (about US$523). Oh, those prices are non-contract prices.
Looking at the pictures, the Find 5 looks extremely thin. According to sources, the Find 5 will sport an ultra-thin design — just 6.9mm thick. For comparison’s sake, the Galaxy Note 2 is 9.65 mm thick, HTC J Butterfly is 9.1mm thick, and LG Optimus Vu is 8.5mm thick. And one more thing, it will sport an anodized aluminium body just like Apple’s iPhone 5. The verdict? We can’t wait to get our hands on it.
