Started mass production of iPad Mini

We recently mentioned in the news that the new tablet Apple iPad mini could be on 17 October. Now, new information about it: the Wall Street Journal has reported that mass production of the device has already begun. Immediately two sources reported that iPad mini will be 7.85-inch touch screen with a lower resolution than a normal iPad. Presumably, the resolution can reach 1024x768. There is no reliable information about the other characteristics of a smaller version of iPad. It is expected that the new tablet will be able to compete with low-cost 7-inch models from Google and Amazon on the basis of Android, though, it is not clear what will be the cost and will it really comparable to the prices of competing models.
