ABBYY has announced ABBYY FineReader Touch application for iPhone, a mobile client for the service to text recognition . The new product allows ABBYY, according to the developers, quickly and accurately recognize shot camera phone documentation. Recognized documents can be saved in an easy to edit or subsequent search format, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF and other popular formats.

According to the company, ABBYY FineReader Touch for iPhone will be useful to users who may want to identify the documents while away from home or office. Program will assess students in the preparation of materials for undergraduate and coursework, as well as employees of companies whose profession involves working out of the office: fast and efficient recognition of paper documents without reference to the scanner and the computer will help improve the efficiency of business processes. In this case, iPhone users can work with different types of documents that contain both text and graphical information. program recognizes text in 42 languages ​​(including multilingual documents) with high accuracy recreates formatting attributes (eg, headings, images, bullets and numbered lists, columns, and tables), and retains the original style of the source material. Thanks to ABBYY FineReader Touch iPhone users can work efficiently with different types of documents, including brochures, magazines, books, contracts, reports and graphics. Interface ABBYY FineReader Touch for iPhone allows one-touch forward and back up the recognition results. The received documents can be stored in the internal archive applications with convenient search, sent to a computer or other device via email or via iTunes File Sharing. They can also be opened in other applications installed on the device (text editor, PDF-reader, etc.), or download the online storage services such as Evernote and Yandeks.Disk.
