MTS and "Kaspersky Lab" will join forces to counter cyber threats

Telecommunications operator MTS "Kaspersky Lab" reported the signing of an agreement on the joint fight against cyber threats. In the framework of the company will analyze new kinds of threats to mobile users, to stop the spread of malware and fight unscrupulous content providers. Overall, since the beginning of 2012, MTS has invested in solutions to counter Frodo in communications networks more than 100 million rubles.

According to the contract, "Kaspersky Lab" promptly MTS provides information about new malware to infect mobile users, as well as lists of phone numbers of malicious URL-addresses and USSD-commands that are used by scammers to withdraw funds from the accounts of subscribers to follow lock operator.

In turn, the MTS sends antivirus company malicious links found in the SMS-spam lists. On operator's request experts "Kaspersky Lab" the screening of suspicious files, and make detailed description of malware, information on their basic functions, principles of work on mobile devices and how to steal money or personal information number. MTS will subsequently use these expert opinions "Kaspersky Lab" when referring to the law enforcement agencies and courts to bring perpetrators to justice.
