MTS goes to new cities with pay-TV and Internet access
Telecommunications operator MTS has announced the release to market of fixed broadband Internet and pay-TV over 20 new Russian cities built new operator of fixed networks in the Amur, Astrakhan, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Tver and Tula regions, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Perm Krai and plans to launch new networks in several regions of the Far East, Siberia and Ural Federal Districts.
As stated by the operator, in 2012 he built the fixed network in Belogorsk, Blagoveshchensk, Borisoglebsk, Kstovo, Kuznetsk, New Urengoy, Rzhev, Solikamsk, Narimanov and Shchekina. Additionally, the first quarter of 2013, MTS launched broadband and pay-TV in 10 new cities.
The operator is entering new cities with the services of digital TV and high-speed Internet technology FTTD. With its modern infrastructure, MTS can offer users more than 150 pay-TV channels, HD-content and the possibility of individual packaging teleservices and high-speed Internet access at speeds up to 100 Mbit / s.
Currently, 90% of broadband network company built on technology FTTB, in July 2012, the operator launched a digital TV signal in all the cities where, until the end of 2014, MTS plans to transfer all existing customers to digital broadcasting standard DVB-C. MTS is offering fixed-line services in more than 150 cities in Russia, serving 2.2 million broadband subscribers and more than three million pay-TV subscribers.
