Keon and Peak: the first smartphone OS Firefox
, Mozilla released the first smartphone based operating system Firefox OS. This is a model for the development, that is, they can test applications for the new software platform. By the way, the applications for it are written in HTML5 and other web-programming languages. Smartphones are developed together with Geeksphone and Telefonica. The first model is called Keon, it has a fairly simple characteristics.
Characteristics of the smartphone Keon:

- Display: 3.5-inch, 480 x 320 pixels
- Memory: 512 MB RAM, 4 GB ROM

The second model is called the Peak, it is more advanced and includes a 4.3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 8-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM and 1800 mAh battery. Both devices will be released in February, they will be "unlocked" and developers can use any compatible SIM-card.
