Toshiba introduced the technology of encryption and cryptographic erase of SSD drives
Toshiba has announced the release of two series titles with cryptographic erase, one encrypted parasitic models and a portable hard drive interface SATA. Enhanced cryptographic erasure of data will be included in a series of solid state drives PX technology-based multi-level cell (MLC): PX02AMU (eMLC, corporate class) and PX03ANU (cMLC, consumer class). New parasitic encrypted SSD technology-based enterprise-class multi-level cell (eMLC) - PX02SMQ / U - use reliable 256-bit encryption AES, which is already used to protect sensitive information to enterprises and data centers around the world.
As according to the company, its enterprise-class drives allow data center managers to better protect the storage and prevent leaks of confidential information. With built-in cryptographic erasure and self-encrypting drives are not afraid of new challenges related to the removal of data on servers and in storage, which is planned to transfer to other persons, to write off or used for other purposes.
Models with cryptographic erase series PX02AMF PX03ANF and will be available in January 2013 and the parasitic encrypted hard drives PX02SMQ / U and portable drives MQ01ABU Interface SATA - in the first quarter of 2013
