MTS and Microsoft expand strategic partnership in Russia

Telecommunications operator MTS and Microsoft reported the first results of summarizing strategic partnership in the field of promotion of innovative mobile solutions and first in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, a joint project of opening special promotion zones Windows ecosystem in showrooms and retail network operator announced the expansion of cooperation.

Demonstration areas of the Windows ecosystem during November-December 2012 were open 20 retail stores network in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. In these stores, users can get advice on the principles of interaction between the various devices on Windows 8, test them and buy gadgets, complete with special offers MTS for mobile Internet access.

Since the project weekly sales of smartphones with Windows Phone in the salons of MTS promotional areas increased 2.5-fold, selling tablets - by a third. Windows Phone share in the total sales of smartphones in stores to demo zones of the order of 20-25%.

In February 2013, MTS became a partner of Microsoft products on the market for the enterprise market, including Office 365 cloud service in their service packages. Office 365 - a "cloud" solution that integrates business applications and the latest collaboration tools and unified communications.
