SAMSUNG GALAXY S IV FOR VERIZON TO BE SCH-V727, SPRINT’S VERSION SHOULD BE SPH-D806

Samsung will officially announce its next-generation Galaxy S flagship device in March. Some sources say it will happen on March 15 – this is certainly a possibility. Regardless of its announcement date, the new smartphone, expected to be called Galaxy S IV, will be widely available around the world later this year.
As it had done with the Galaxy S III, Samsung will launch the S IV in the US via all relevant mobile operators. Our own Samsung insider has managed to confirm that Verizon and Sprint will be the first to sell the new Galaxy S in the US, perhaps in early June. This, however, doesn’t mean other carriers can’t offer it starting the same day.  Our source has obtained model numbers for Verizon’s S IV – SCH-V727 – as well as for Sprint’s edition – SPH-D806 – saying they will not differ design-wise, featuring “gorgeous” full HD screens.
The international version of the S IV will be known as Samsung GT-i9500.
We have proved in the past that our Samsung insider can be trusted, and we’re hoping to receive more details on the upcoming Galaxy S IV soon.
Update: Hooray, Bluetooth SIG gives us a hand, confirming the two model numbers: SCH-V727, SPH-D806. These are labeled as “Mobile Devices” and, sure enough, they are North America-bound.
