Google introduced a service Babel on Google I / O as Hangouts

Google will next week officially unveil its universal messaging service at the conference Google I / O. The system was developed within the framework of Babel, but it will get another embodiment of a user name. It is reported that the service will be referred to as the Google Hangout, which is caused by the desire to increase the popularity of the corporation of its other services, such as the name already exists in the ecosystem of the social network Google+. Source resource TechRadar also leads photography system in action, including the use of instant messaging service Google Chat. Users of the service will be able to archive the conversation, block contacts and go back to the previous version of the service correspondence. Google Hangout is based on an open platform HMRR chat and messaging, which is already used in Google Talk. In theory it should work on devices with iOS. It is likely that the project is considered by the company as something more than just a messaging service, and potentially surpass the capabilities of such messengers as BlackBerry Messenger and iMessage.
