MTS has improved the quality of communication within buildings in 2500


The telecommunications operator MTS has announced the development of programs to improve the quality of indoor-network coverage. Surveys in 2012 and the first quarter of 2013, the number of building works, in which he has established additional equipment to improve the quality of communication has increased 2.5 times - up to 2,500 locations.

As stated by the operator, it is implementing a program of development of communication inside buildings to improve the quality of voice and data services in areas with limited access signal from the external base station or a high concentration of subscribers in the network segment through the use of active and passive distributed antenna systems, micro base stations and remote units, femtocells, repeaters, as well as special radiating cables. The installation of this equipment allows for high speed transmission of data in 2G/3G/4G networks and the provision of high-quality voice services.

In April 2013, MTS has introduced a new 16-channel model femtocell that supports up to 16 simultaneous calls and provides a stable connection 3G coverage in offices with limited access signal from the external base station.
