Samsung Design Patents Point to New Curved Phone & More

On May 07, 2013, the US Patent and Trademark Office published more than 20 newly granted design patents for Samsung. Amongst this group of boring smartphone designs came one that showed a little panache. One aspect of this next generation smartphone design is illustrated in our cover graphic. It clearly has a slight curve to the design that may in fact support a flex display. The other unique feature is presented in our report. A second design that stood out from the crowd appears to that of a possible upgraded Samsung Galaxy Camera with a twist to it that may appeal to many consumers.

Samsung Granted Design Patent for Next-Gen Galaxy Camera?

Although the design is very close to the current Galaxy Camera that runs the Android Jelly Bean OS, the new design is clearly combining a Galaxy S series Smartphone.
