Sony and Panasonic have developed a new optical disc
Japanese company Sony and Panasonic today announced the signing of the framework agreement, the purpose of which is the joint development of standards for the next generation optical disc for professional use, allowing to expand their own business for long-term storage of digital data.
According to the company, joined forces to develop a new generation of optical discs, they're going to get to the end of 2015 disks with the ability to record at least 300 GB of data.
