EE HAS BEEN NAMED THE ROOTSCORE AWARD WINNER IN BIRMINGHAM AND LEICESTER BY ROOTMETRICS

EE has been named the RootScore Award Winner in Birmingham and Leicester by RootMetrics, an independent consumer advocate.

Over 50,000 mobile performance tests were completed across Birmingham and Leicester, comparing the performance of EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three. EE had the strongest overall performance for both cities coming top for Mobile Internet Performance and joint-first for Call Performance and Text Performance.

The report findings for Birmingham showed average EE download speeds, combining both 3G and 4G, of 24.2Mbps and average EE upload speeds of 19.3Mbps. These results were almost 17.3Mbps faster for downloads than any other mobile operator, whilst upload speeds were more than nine times quicker. EE’s average download speed of 24.2Mbps is the fastest RootMetrics has recorded by any operator in the UK to date.

EE first rolled out 4G services in Birmingham in October 2012 and Leicester in March 2013. EE launched double-speed 4G services in Birmingham in July 2013. EE 4G services enable local residents and businesses to access the web on the go in an instant; download large email attachments quicker than ever; hold video calls; watch live TV on the move without buffering; and play live multiplayer games on the go.
