Limited Edition Samsung Galaxy Note 3 With Flexible OLED Display Coming Next Month?
Remember when the Galaxy Note 3 was rumored to come in at least three totally different variants? Well, even if, so far, only the mainstream Note 3 has been announced, it looks like Samsung is still poised to release the other two models.
If yesterday we brought you news that an entry-level LCD Galaxy Note 3 is in the works and should be released next month, now we have some news regarding the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 3 equipped with a flexible OLED display. Interested? Join us after the break for more details.
Some of our readers might remember that, at the beginning of the month, we reported that LG and Samsung are in a fierce competition to be the first company to release a smartphone equipped with a flexible display. At the time, it had been rumored that these devices are LG’s Vu 3 and a special edition of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3.
If the LG Vu 3 (which was announced today), ended up being a smartphone with a regular (nod-flexible display), according to the Korean media, the Galaxy Note 3 spin-off with flexible OLED screen is still on track, it will be released as early as next month and it will only be produced in limited quantities.
However, if this turns out to be true, do not expect to be able to bend the smartphone’s display. Even if the screen itself is bendable, the battery and other components aren’t. Instead, we should expect a new take on a smartphone’s design, kind of like the one pictured below.
