DOCOMO reached the speed data to a single antenna 1.2 Gbit / s for LTE-A networks
Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO announced a first-ever data transfer rate 1.2 Gbit / s field trials on a single antenna with a new transmission technology - Smart Vertical MIMO networks for LTE-Advanced.
This technology uses an adaptive DOCOMO of vertical components antenna grouping according to the reception quality of mobile devices in the area of transmission, providing for the single antenna bandwidth equivalent to four antennas.
Technology Smart Vertical MIMO, according to the company, will be a key technology for the development of an operator in the planned deployment of LTE-Advanced Networks for 2016 fiscal year (ending for the operator 31 March 2016 g). Such a system reduces the cost and installation space antenna system and improves the efficiency of the frequency spectrum. A decrease in the area occupied space will be especially useful when deployed in urban areas.
