Nokia, Streamezzo to Develop Rich Media Mobile Platform

Streamezzo (News - Alert), a company that offers interactive multimedia services to the communication arena, has entered into a deal with mobile handset maker Nokia to develop the MyNseries application.

"We are excited to be a part of this major enhancement to the Mobile Internet. With MyNseries, our mobile multimedia devices become the perfect Mobile 2.0 platform for user communities, user-generated content and other rich multimedia experiences," said Laurent David, director of multimedia for Nokia (News - Alert) France, in a statement.

Launched in June, MyNseries is the latest application developed for Nokia’s N-series which delivers a rich multimedia experience to users. Under the partnership, Streamezzo will take the responsibility of design, development, delivery management, hosting, and deployment of the MyNseries application.

This S60 application for the Symbian (News - Alert) mobile operating system was specifically designed for the Nokia N-series and offers host of leading-edge multimedia services and Web 2.0 capabilities. This includes community and user-generated content including photos and videos; broad selection of music services; search and various navigational applications, entertainment and gaming applications from leading publishers; Internet browsing and other useful applications.

Streamezzo's solution will offer simple, one-click synchronization, keeping the users to stay in touch with the latest applications, contents and multimedia services.

Alain Blancquart, CEO for Streamezzo said in a statement, "Given the challenge of designing and developing a complete technology platform for Nokia's incredibly diverse global user base, we entered into this relationship with several key strategic goals. We look forward to an aggressive evolution of this platform and continued collaboration with Nokia on a global scale."
