Small Business Can Break Free of Communications Shackles
Samsung BCS’ new OfficeServ 7100 offers small businesses networking, wireless, VoIP and CTI capabilities
RICHARDSON, Texas — May 08, 2007 — The small business and the home enterprise are no longer limited by the shortcomings of their so-called “low-end” communications systems. In order to eliminate unique challenges and costs associated with installing a communications solution, Samsung Business Communication Systems (BCS) announces the latest platform in its OfficeServTM family of convergence solutions, the OfficeServ 7100. The OfficeServ 7100 is designed specifically for small businesses that want complete control over their communication growth in an easy and affordable package. The new platform will be available in early summer 2007.
“Small enterprises and home businesses have been relegated to the role of ‘the little guy’ for too long,” said Ann Irwin, director, marketing and business development for Samsung Telecommunications America, Business Communication Systems Division, “and we wanted to make sure that these business owners had a truly cost-effective solution that would give them the same capabilities as larger companies. The OfficeServ 7100 is that solution. It’s ready to go, right out of the box, with the power and features of the other platforms in the OfficeServ 7000 series family.”
The OfficeServ 7100 comes pre-configured with default programming for a quick and easy installation, helping business owners, and telecom dealers, reap the benefits of reduced installation times and costs typically associated with new communication platforms or networking solutions. With the default programming, users can install up to four lines and eight stations with pre-labeled TDM phones. The OfficeServ 7100 also can be customized to provide small businesses with unprecedented growth capabilities – stations and trunks can be added in economical four port increments, allowing businesses to grow at their own pace, and most importantly, protect their investment. In addition, sophisticated Voice over IP (VoIP) applications and wireless technology can be enabled to allow the phone system to grow with the business as requirements change.
The standard OfficeServ 7100 also comes equipped with a powerful, full-featured voicemail system that can deliver voice mail to any email in box, such as Microsoft Outlook®. Users are given four voicemail and auto attendant ports that are embedded in the system, as well as pre-set call forwarding of non-answered calls to voicemail. This, along with a plethora of other features included in the voicemail system, provide end-users with a complete solution without complications or additional costs. Moreover, these features can be accessed via wired or wireless handsets as the OfficeServ 7100 supports all Samsung keysets, including the iDCS 28/18, DS 5000 and the ITP 5100 Series.
The OfficeServ 7100 can be purchased in the prepackaged sets, such as four lines and six TDM phones, or in individual parts. The platform offers a basic key system that is network- and IP-enabled with everything a small business needs included and configured right out of the box.
