iPhone screen problems

I didn't think that this would happen but it has. The great 3.5 inch touchscreen develops dead unresponsive spots. This has happened to lots of people and Apple is addressing the issue (I respect them for dealing with the problem). I find this problem quite serious since it really affects the usability of the phone (since it is fully touchscreen based).
