SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today expanded its service offerings for emergency responders and public safety customers by announcing the additions of asset and performance management services to its portfolio. "Motorola understands that public safety professionals are under increasing pressure to maximize a growing number of assets to ensure that all resources are being effectively utilized and are ready to perform in critical moments," said Bill Scapin, director, Motorola Government and Commercial Markets. "As part of our continuing commitment to public safety customers, we have tailored our asset and performance management services to meet their needs for more accurate resource tracking, reporting, and planning."
Motorola's asset management service includes software to improve visibility into the readiness of equipment. This application includes the automation of preventative maintenance and repair cycles for equipment and vehicles, service and repair histories, inventory management, and financial reporting. Customers can also use the application to track and schedule technology upgrades for their vehicle fleets.

Designed around the needs of ASTRO(R) 25 systems users, this new service helps customers more accurately evaluate network capacity, analyze trends, and allows for more precise future system growth planning.
