Motorola Showcases Innovation, Fixed and Mobile WiMAX Momentum at WiMAX World USA

ARLINGTON HTS, Ill. - 10 September 2007 - As a global leader in WiMAX deployment and technology, Motorola (NYSE:MOT) will demonstrate how its innovative WiMAX solutions and the MOTOwi4™ wireless broadband portfolio enables broadband on-the-go. WiMAX World USA will attract approximately 6,000 attendees from more than 125 countries to Chicago, where Motorola’s world headquarters is located. Chicago is one of several US cities awarded by Sprint to Motorola to deliver WiMAX high-speed wireless broadband in late 2007 and early 2008.
Motorola will showcase its momentum in the delivery of mobile, fixed and portable WiMAX solutions during a keynote speech by Padmasree Warrior, Motorola’s Chief Technology Officer, newsworthy roundtables, panels, and tech demonstrations.
Live wi4 WiMAX demonstrations will include gaming, web browsing, Voice-over-IP (VoIP) calling, video conferencing, and audio and video streaming, all powered by Motorola’s IP multimedia subsystem (IMS). The demonstrations will utilize an array of Motorola’s WiMAX equipment including its WiMAX Flexible Access Point portfolio, desktop customer premise equipment including the new CPEi 300, commercial grade PC cards, and mobile devices.
