Info from "An Evening with S60" HK
Here is some interesting info posted by blueskies over at mobile-review who attented th the Nokia "An Evening with S60" event that took place in Hong Kong. Here is what he posted
back from the "An Evening with S60" held in HK!
few info to share, from the Nokia people,
1. FP2 devices would appear earliest 2008Q1 but not later than 2008 1st Half, the FP2 software is ready.
2. Touch UI will at the end replace the v3.1, v3.2 as the main S60 platform, possibly release non-touchscreen devices using the Touch UI (of course with physical keyboard)
3. There will be devices with resolution of higher than QVGA and larger screen coming.
4. the differentiation of Nseries in the coming years may have some changes, N8x will focus more on photography, while N9x will focus more on video capability. (Personally, I think this statement is quite surprising and let's see whether it is correct or not)
Edited my post, regarding #4, forgot to mention that the statement applies to the coming models, I also challenge him the N81, N91 which does not have superior function of video, the Nokia people say that this apply to the coming models
