Nokia Opens Abuja Service Center
Nokia (News - Alert) has opened its first Care Center in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria. The new center is supported by Nokia's technical personnel in Middle East and Africa, and is expected to serve Nigeria’s northern market.
“The new Abuja Care Centre is equipped with the latest tools and it is staffed by well-trained technicians who can professionally handle all Nokia products including our latest range,” Fady Khatib, Area Manager for Nigeria at Nokia, said in a press release.
Ahmed Imam, service director of RAYA Technologies, Nokia's Care partner, commented: “This is the latest Nokia Care Centre in Nigeria and the first in Abuja. What this means is that Nokia customers in the FCT and environ can avail themselves of professional handling of their devices, knowing that all their Nokia products can be serviced, enhanced or upgraded according to Nokia's stringent global standards.”
Raymond Olatokun, manager for Nigeria at Nokia, noted that Nokia is still making plans to address the geographical challenges in the Nigerian market. He added, “We are encouraged by this first successful step of opening a Nokia Care Centre in Abuja, which will service the Northern area for a little while. Nokia is currently finalizing plans to establish more service points in some of the major cities of Nigeria as well as the remote areas to quickly solve customer service issues.”
Khatib remarked that, as all Nokia mobile phones come with a 12-month warranty, it will encourage consumers to believe in “our products because we offer reliable after sales service.”
