Experience Beta/ Nokia Tips
What is Nokia Tips?
Nokia Tips is a mobile device application that presents relevant mobile device related information to the user. The target is to help the mobile device owner to be aware of mobile services that he/she is not using but potentially could be interested in.
Does it cost anything to join the pilot?
Application is free and receiving the tips is free. The only costs are generated when you connect to GPRS/3G network from the tips page.
How can I join the pilot?
To be able to join the pilot you need to fullfill the following criteria:
- Have a Nokia N95 mobile device
Please note! N95 must have software version 12.0.013 or higher. You can find the version number on the phone display by entering *#0000# on the idle state. In case you have an older software version, you can go to http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate to update your phone software.
- Have access to PC with Internet connection
Please note! This is needed to fill in start and end surveys and to download the Nokia Tips application.
What do I need to do in the pilot?
After you have successfully installed Nokia Tips application and restarted your terminal you can use your Nokia N95 normally. While using the phone you will get some tips on mobile services. In order to receive the 4GB memory card, you will need to fill an online survey at the end of pilot. You will receive a tip through the Nokia Tips application to remind you of this survey. A direct link on the survey will be sent to your email when pilot has ended.
How are the tips presented to me?
There will be a prompt that tells you briefly the content of the tip. Opening the prompt leads to a dedicated view where the tip is explained more in detail.
Please note that there is no network connection to run the Nokia Tips application, i.e. there are no costs accociated with usage.
In some cases there is a link in the tip view that guides you to further information. This can mean opening another application or connecting to network.
