Nokia says door open for cooperation with Apple on web portal Ovi - Vanjoki

FRANKFURT, (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) -- Nokia's (NYSE:NOK) doors are open for Apple Inc to sell its music via the company's planned Ovi web portal, management board member Anssi Vanjoki told Berliner Zeitung.

'In Finnish, Ovi means door. And our door is open. Of course, Apple can get into our portal. We even invite (Apple Inc chief executive) Steve Jobs to do so,' Vanjoki was quoted as saying.

Vanjoki added that Apple's i-Tunes store would be an enrichment for Nokia's customers, the paper reported.

Earlier this year, Nokia said it would combine all the music, gaming and navigation services it offers users on the forthcoming web portal Ovi.
