Response to Disclosure Inquiry

No decision has been made on the construction of a mobile phone plant in Vietnam, although Samsung Electronics has reviewed the overseas plant construction plan to respond to emerging markets and improve global competitiveness.

Further disclosure will be made within 6 months or as soon as any decision is made on the above issue.
