UIQ Technology welcomes the MOTO Z10 to the UIQ family

Ronneby, Sweden, UIQ Technology today welcomes the Motorola MOTO Z10, a mobile phone based on UIQ and Symbian OS.

The new MOTO Z10 is a complete, pocket-sized, mobile film studio and is a stylish kick slider that makes it easy to capture high-quality video, edit clips, create transitions between scenes and add title slides and a soundtrack. In addition to creating videos, MOTO Z10 features great media playback capabilities and has a 3.2 megapixel camera capturing up to three images a second. The MOTO Z10 has a crystal-clear 2.2" QVGA screen that displays video at 30 frames per second in millions of colors and comes with 3.5G HSDPA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

MOTO Z10 is based on UIQ 3.2 that is fully compatible with previous UIQ 3 versions. For software developers, it means that no new tools or software are required to build applications. Developers can in other words use existing UIQ 3.0- and UIQ 3.1 tools to develop for UIQ 3.2, and the MOTO Z10.

UIQ is an open user interface and application development platform, making it possible for world-leading mobile phone manufacturers such as Sony Ericsson and Motorola to create different kinds of phones, all based on the same open software platform.
