WiMAX Forum assigns second certification testing lab in Taiwan
Taiwan's government-backed Telecom Technology Center (TTC) and Compliant Certification Services (CCS) have announced that the TTC-CCS lab, a joint lab of the two companies, has been selected by the WiMAX Forum as the second certification testing lab in Taiwan.
Starting the second half of 2008, the TTC-CCS lab will begin to offer both fixed and mobile WiMAX certification services for Taiwan WiMAX equipment makers, TTC said in a press release.
The WiMAX Forum, in June 2007, assigned Taiwan-based Advance Data Technology (ADT) as the first certification testing lab in Taiwan. Both ADT and TTC-CCS will be authorized to offer WiMAX member companies certification testing to certify the conformity and interoperability of WiMAX products.
In addition to the two test labs in Taiwan, the WiMAX Forum also operates four test labs in the US, Europe, China and South Korea. The WiMAX Forum plans to set up another test lab in India in 2008.
