Skype hardware vendor Ipevo seeks additional investments from angel investors
Ipevo, a branded VoIP and Skype hardware vendor, is seeking additional investments of NT$150-200 million (US$5-6.6 million) from angel investors to finance its product development, according to company CEO Royce Hong.
Ipevo currently has paid-in capital of NT$275 million, with Hong and his family members together holding a 65% stake in the company and PChome Online holding about a 30% stake.
In other news, Ipevo on April 16 launched the ST-4RT.1 handset, in Taiwan. The device integrates with a broad range of instant messenger (IM) and business VoIP platforms, the company said.
The company also plans to launch Internet photo frames in the third quarter of this year, Hong said.
