T-Mobile Austria makes customer care count with unified subscriber database
Implementation of Nokia Siemens Networks’ data management solution means better services, faster for customers
T-Mobile Austria is offering new personalized services, such as “MyFaves” social networking, to its customers and enjoying reduced network complexity and maintenance thanks to a single, consolidated database platform from Nokia Siemens Networks.
The recently-implemented Nokia Siemens Networks subscriber data management solution enables T-mobile Austria to introduce new services and applications much faster than before, for instance by delivering targeted advertising and information services or community services like “MyFaves”. The new community service allows subscribers to stay in touch with five favorite friends at a very low fee.
The replacement of a number of separate databases used for different applications and services with a single, shared platform provides real-time access to all subscriber data – a complete view of each customer profile. This allows T-Mobile to provide profiled voice, data or multimedia services to its subscribers, based on their needs or preferences.
“Customer satisfaction counts the most for us at T-Mobile. With the new database solution from Nokia Siemens Networks, we can provide our customers with new services much faster and in a more flexible way. We can also identify their preferences and needs in order to prepare personalized offerings,” said Christian LaquĂ©, Executive Vice President for Networks at T-Mobile Austria.
For more than 3.2 million T-Mobile subscribers, the Nokia Siemens Networks solution based on the open, real-time One-NDS (Network Directory Server) platform also means greater reliability, availability and security of all services.
Besides simplifying service creation and reducing costs, the centralized subscriber data system is ready for handling converged services utilizing different kinds of mobile and fixed access methods.
“This project underlines Nokia Siemens Networks unique capability in providing solutions that help our customers enhance their offerings and strengthen their business, ” said Manfred Kilga, Account Manager for T-Mobile Austria at Nokia Siemens Networks.
Nokia Siemens Networks is the undisputed leader in subscriber data management with over 45 customer references and a broad range of applications and services.
