Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships
MOBILE PHONE THROWING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NARVA
The 9th international Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships took place in Narva Castle on Saturday the 23rd of August 2008. Estonians celebrated victorys in both men and women's categories. The new champion in Original individual men is Timmo Lilium from Estonia with result 85 metres. In the Original individual category second was Roman Valuiskihh with 77 meters and the third was Renno Remmel with a result of 76 meters.
The worldchampion in the Women’s category is Estonian Valeria Kadorova. She threw a mobile as far as 41 metres. The second was Natalia Moskaliova, Estonia with a throw of 36 meters. The third was Viktoria Palgi who threw 22 metres.
Finland took a victory in the Junior category, when a 12-year-old Riku Kankkunen threw 55 metres. Estonian Sten Aamer, 12 y.o. was the second with 50 meters. Two competitors Topias Huotari from Finland and Martin Lill from Estonia shared the third podium. They both threw 29 metres.
FreeStyle
There was a very personal winner in the Freestyle category this year too. For the very first time in Mobile Phone Throwing history the winner is from animal world. The winner is Cara dog and Cara's owner. Cara threw 30 centimetres, but luckily for her only style matters in this category. Cara got full points from the judges.
