ITT-Ukraine completed the next stage of expansion of its CDMA network

Mobile communications operator MTS-Ukraine announced today the completion of the next phase of large-scale expansion of the network speed wireless Internet access technology based on CDMA.

During July-August 2008 high-speed broadband Internet access services based on innovation "MTS Connect" appeared in Alushta, Yalta, Yevpatoriya, Simferopol, Feodosia, Koktebel, Sevastopol, Nikolaev, Chernivtsi, Kryvyi Rih, Mariupol and Kremenchuge.

During the first phase in October 2007 for the first time in Ukraine launched a network of high-speed wireless Internet access and service "MTS Connect" on the basis of technology CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev A. Later, during the October-December 2007, CDMA-covering emerged in the seven major cities of Ukraine: Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kiev, Lviv, Odessa and Kharkiv.

Until the end of this year, ITT-Ukraine plans to cover the CDMA-communications and start a service "MTS Connect" in all regional centers of Ukraine. Also under way to improve the quality of coverage and service delivery in those cities where the network is already deployed CDMA.

In the current year is planned to cover the CDMA-network throughout the Crimea. In addition to fully cover the southern coast of Crimea, CDMA network expansion is scheduled in the steppe part of the peninsula.

In the near future is also planned launch date-roaming service in conjunction with the company Skylink for guests of Ukraine. This service will allow subscribers of MTS in Russia enjoy high-speed Internet while on the territory of Crimea.
