Toshiba launches sale of 256 GB SSD drives
The company Toshiba today announced the expansion of its line of SSD (solid state drives - solid drive) drives based on NAND Flash memory a new 256 GB model, with the largest volume at this time. In addition, the announced and the issuance of small Flash modules for notebooks, UMPC and other portable devices. The new drives will be presented at CEATEC, to be held in the exhibition center Makuhari, Japan.
The two samples, 256 GB SSD drive and Flash module is available now for testing and mass production is scheduled by the fourth quarter of this year.
