Foxlink lands extra-low-cost handset orders from Motorola, says paper
Foxlink (Chen Uei Precision Industry) has landed orders for an extra-low-cost handset from Motorola with shipments to be fulfilled in 2009, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report, which also added in saying the production of the handset is to meet market demand in the Great China region.
Foxlink actually developed the extra-low-cost handset, built using the Infineon handset platform, for China-based Huawei Technologies, said the paper, noting that Huawei has not objected to Foxlink's plans to also ship the model to Motorola after minor modifications.
