Nokia Siemens Networks expands services capacity in readiness for TD-SCDMA volume deployments in China
Ramps-up its strength of TD-SCDMA trained engineers to over 1,200 throughout China
In anticipation of the upcoming increase in TD-SCDMA deployments in China, Nokia Siemens Networks will increase its current strength of TD-SCDMA trained engineers to over 1,200. Nokia Siemens Networks has recently obtained the official approvals for deployment of its TD-SCDMA equipment from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its leading solution delivery capability in TD-SCDMA network planning, construction and optimization positions Nokia Siemens Networks as one of the most competitive and credible vendors in TD-SCDMA.
As the major international player with long-term commitment through significant financial and IPR investment, Nokia Siemens Networks has always been in an extremely strong position and has the scale, portfolio and knowledge to deploy TD-SCDMA in China. The company’s cutting edge TD-SCDMA radio access solution portfolio guarantees high performance and can ensure strong interoperability with its widely deployed GSM radio, core, operation support systems and application platforms. The services experts will ensure on-time network launch, reduce technical and commercial risks while ensuring higher efficiency, CAPEX and OPEX saving through network management, optimization and performance assurance.
Says Zhang Zhiqiang, head of Greater China region of Nokia Siemens Networks, “China Mobile can have full trust in our proven TD-SCDMA network solution as evidenced in the recently completed Shen Zhen deployment. The Shen Zhen project is a strong solution showcase of Nokia Siemens Networks’ capabilities in deploying and optimizing complex TD-SCDMA networks. Not only is it one of the largest networks in terms of scope, but Nokia Siemens Networks had to meet rigid timelines and high network quality requirements laid down by China Mobile.”
Nokia Siemens Networks is the major solution supplier for China Mobile Shen Zhen TD-SCDMA network’s planning, construction and optimization. In the recent China Mobile TD-SCDMA network evaluations, Shen Zhen TD-SCDMA network performance ranks as No.1 in big city category. Nokia Siemens Networks service team has been recognized for constantly improving customer satisfaction and meeting operator requirements in all aspects of network coverage and quality.
Adds Steven Shaw, head of Services in Greater China region of Nokia Siemens Networks, “We have gained invaluable experience in working with China Mobile in the Shen Zhen TD-SCDMA network. With our strong base in 2G and rich global experience in 3G deployment, comprehensive TD-SCDMA portfolio, strong local service support and clear evolution path to LTE, we are confident in helping operator customers to fulfill their goals.”
Nokia Siemens Networks’ extensive 2G and 3G experience also holds it in good stead for China’s planned TD-SCDMA rollouts. The company has been a leading GSM provider in China region with over 20 provincial customers. Moreover, it has experience of more than 130 3G radio networks globally, as well as being the leading 3G vendor in Taiwan. In addition to its trained TD-SCDMA personnel, the company has thousands of service engineers with considerable 3G deployment experience.
