TechFaith will introduce Android-smartphone next year
The Chinese company TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology announced that in early 2009 will begin commercial production of mobile devices that are running Android. TechFaith works with many large companies working in the mobile industry: Motorola, LG, Amoi, CECT, France Telecom, SK Telecom, Sprint and Bird.
So far, TechFaith is not reported to any company it will cooperate in the creation of Android-smartphone. This is expected to be announced in November, but still intensive negotiations. As the representative of TechFaith, the development of the prototype is, in general, has been completed, but the commercial product will be released no earlier than next year. Information about the features and form factor device has not been disclosed yet.
