Nokia 6650 based on S60 and Symbian OS now available in the US from AT&T

LONDON, United Kingdom, 17 November 2008 - Symbian Limited, the market leader in open operating systems for mobile phones, today welcomes the availability of the Nokia 6650, a mainstream mobile phone from AT&T.

The Nokia 6650 is based on Symbian OS™ v9.3, designed with performance and feature enhancements, including support for location based services, to bring the highest level of power efficiency and platform security to a mobile phone. Incorporating the S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 user interface, Nokia 6650 users can choose from thousands of applications from the S60 applications library.

This small fold device includes a dedicated menu key for direct access to AT&T Navigator and includes AT&T Video ShareSM and AT&T Mobile Music services. The mobile phone’s features include: integrated GPS for turn-by-turn directions and A-GPS for faster location fixes, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, and compatibility with major digital music formats.

The Nokia 6650 is available from AT&T retail stores nationwide for $69.99 with a two year service agreement.
