Sagem embed GPS in the SIM-card

The company Sagem Orga announced entering into a partnership agreement with BlueSky Positioning for the integration of A-GPS technology directly to the SIM-card. The company Sagem Orga specializes in creating smartkart with many different opportunities and has already submitted a number of SIM-cards with embedded additional functions. The new joint project with BlueSky Positioning planned to build in the SIM-card GPS-receiver and its antenna.

This way, as in other cases, providing additional features for the SIM-card allows mobile operators to offer their services regardless of the hardware characteristics of devices operating in their network. When using a SIM-cards with A-GPS operators can offer different Serveis navigation, positioning, locally-oriented services, etc. These SIM-card Sagem Orga plans to distribute to telecommunications companies worldwide.
