Sony Ericsson Developer World launches in India with recognition and certification program
In New Delhi, India on November 25, 2008 Sony Ericsson Developer World announced its next regional rollout with the official launch of activities in India, giving a commitment to support and engage Indian developers through an award and recognition program. Exclusively for developers in India, entering the new Sony Ericsson Developer World Awards is the first step towards becoming a “Sony Ericsson Certified Developer”. Submissions are now open through a new web site www.sonyericsson.com/developer/india.

Recognition program for developers in India
Sony Ericsson Developer World is offering an exclusive award and recognition program for developers in India. The six winners of the new Sony Ericsson Developer World Awards will qualify for a 100-day mentorship to be groomed to work closely with Sony Ericsson and become a Sony Ericsson Certified Developer.

The first step towards becoming a Sony Ericsson Certified Developer is to enter the Sony Ericsson Developer World Awards, exclusively for developers in India.
There are two award categories: "Best Application" and "Best Application Idea", with entry open for 45 days from November 25, 2008.
Prizes include W350i phones for the first 10 submissions and the winners from the two categories, six in total, will qualify for the 100-day mentor program and move onwards to becoming a Sony Ericsson Certified Developer.
Submitting entries also means Indian developers become registered Community members of global Sony Ericsson Developer World, enabling you to enjoy the benefits of free technical support by participating in the discussion forums and wikis.
