Spb Software has interviewed the owners of PDAs and smartphones
A well-known domestic developer of software for mobile devices Spb Software announced the results of the fifth annual survey of owners of PDA-communicators, smartphones. Sam interview was conducted at the company's website from 10 th to 24 th November 2008. The main objectives of the survey is to examine the loyalty of users to companies producing devices, mobile operators, as well as identification of the main scenarios using mobile devices.
This year the survey was first extended beyond the platform WM - there were also users of other platforms, most notably, Symbian (owners of Nokia smart phones and Sony Ericsson). In the current poll was attended by several thousand people from 22 countries, including Russia and CIS countries. Compared with 2007 the number of participants increased by 50%. Interestingly, the Russian version of the questionnaire filled only 15% of the total respondents.
Popular devices from the Russian-speaking users:
• HTC - 28% (23% - brand HTC + 5% other brands of devices production HTC);
• ASUS - 14%;
• E-TEN/Glofiish - 12%;
• Nokia - 8%;
• HP iPaq - 6%;
• CPC Fujitsu-Siemens, communicators and smartphones Samsung - to 4%;
• PDAs and communicators Toshiba - 2%;
• Brands Dell, MiTAC (Mio), Gigabyte GSmart, Rover, Sony Ericsson popular with slightly more than 1.5% of the respondents;
• The remaining brands scored less than 1%.
Interestingly, the total number of respondents leadership HTC more impressive - 46%.
The most popular device among Russian-speaking users became HTC Diamond P3700 - almost 5% of the respondents. Next come the ASUS P535 - 4,5%, and ASUS P750 - 4,2%. HTC Touch P3450 and HTC 3300 (Artemis) received 3.5%.
Preferences for mobile operators at the Russian-speaking participants received such: ITT - 33%, Megafon - 24%, Beeline - 23%, Kyivstar - 3%, Tele 2 - 3%, Life:) - 2%. 45% of respondents are using two SIM-cards.
